Reading with Joan 30 days challenge kicked off with the need to infuse culture into our children’s reading. The aim is to create an imaginary feel of the African authors into the mind of the kids. To capture their mind and create their own stories.
We selected random 10 books from the Children’s Africana Book Awards winners and suggested that the children select at least one of the books to read and send a review video back to us.
The list below shows the books selected among the winners

The team suggested some review questions to the kids which include:
What is the title of the book?
Who is the author/illustrator?
Look at the cover. What does it look like?
What is the plot?
Was the story sad, or happy?
What did the story make you think of?
What is the genre? (Fiction/non-Fiction) comedy. Adventure etc?)
How could the book be better?
Lastly, rate the book out of 5 stars
We will update each video into our website, and we hope that parents will know our brilliant the imagination of our kids can be when we explore the books they read.
